Growth and expansion, summer break, leveraging your expertise on extensions and more!

Dear trainer,

With the upcoming lunch sessions in mind, we would like to bring you up to speed on the latest developments at OCD Opleidingen. This way, you'll already be up to date beforehand, and you can ask your questions during the sessions or through other contact with OCD Opleidingen!

Alongside some exciting news, there are two important topics in this newsletter: the summer break period for 2024 and extensions. Both are areas where we'd like to collaborate with you.

Growth and Expansion: More Trainers, Partnership with Companies, and a Pilot in Flanders!

Increase in Trainers

We're proud to announce that we've experienced significant growth again in the past year. Our team has been bolstered by a large number of new, enthusiastic language trainers. This allows us to provide even more flexibility and expertise to our clients.

Pilot in Flanders

We're also very excited about our first steps in Flanders. We've noticed a growing demand for our language training services in Belgium, and we're delighted to now be able to offer our services there as well. Currently, we're conducting a pilot program with language training in Flanders, and we'll keep you updated on the results.

Partnership with Companies

An increasing number of companies see OCD Opleidingen as a valuable knowledge partner in the field of language and Microsoft training. We're being sought out for advice on intercultural communication, online language training, and we're delivering more and more in-company group training sessions.

In-Demand In-Company Group Training Sessions

Demand for in-company group training sessions has surged in recent months. We tailor these sessions to meet the specific needs of the client, ensuring they align perfectly with the employees' learning objectives.

You may have recently seen on our LinkedIn page about the in-company training sessions we organized at Vetipak in North Brabant.

Would you like to know more about this? Or do you have extensive experience in designing in-company training sessions and would like to contribute ideas? Feel free to reach out to us!

The Summer Period at OCD Opleidingen

As every year, OCD Opleidingen will observe a summer break for the training sessions facilitated through us. In this section, we'll briefly outline what this entails and when the period begins and ends.

We observe that the summer period tends to be quieter due to many participants being on vacation. Additionally, many members of our team are also tied to school holidays, so we'll have minimal staff during certain weeks.

When is the Summer Break?

This year, we'll have the summer break in weeks 31, 32, and 33. This covers the entire construction holiday period for the Central Netherlands region and a significant portion of those in the North and South of the Netherlands.

During the summer break, we typically do not conduct training sessions as our support during those weeks is very limited.

Preparing for this Period

We also realize that for some training sessions, it might be desirable to continue during this period. It could also mean that the schedule for a training session needs adjusting. To prepare for this, we ask you to discuss with your project manager whether any training sessions need to be modified.

The premise is that there will be no training sessions during the period from July 29th to August 18th, 2024. Any questions? Please contact the project manager for your training sessions to discuss further.

Your Expertise in Training Extensions

We'd like to involve you in advising participants on extending their training sessions. As the trainer, you're the expert and can best assess whether an extension is desirable and necessary to achieve the participant's goals. We encourage you to collaborate with your project manager on this.

Factors to Consider in Extensions

When advising on extensions, you can take into account the participant's progress, the set learning objectives, and their motivation.

An extension of the training offers several benefits to the participant. It gives them more time to practice and improve their skills and a better chance to achieve the set learning objectives.

As the expert, you'll determine how many more hours of lessons are needed. This may not necessarily be the same number as when you and the participant started.

Extension: Beneficial for You and Effective for the Participant

Extending the training also means you get to work with the participant for a longer period. This can be beneficial as it allows you to build a better rapport with them and provide more targeted assistance in achieving their goals. Additionally, you not only help the participant but also yourself by generating extra work and ensuring the participant receives effective training.

Discuss with the Project Manager

If you recommend extending the training, feel free to discuss this with the relevant project manager. They can assist by providing input and will ensure proper follow-up, such as preparing the quotation and handling further sales processes.

Certification: Proud of our Cedeo Accreditation

We're incredibly proud of our Cedeo accreditation. This accreditation guarantees the quality of our language training and demonstrates that we meet strict requirements regarding customer satisfaction, continuity, and expertise. This year, we're also working on recertification for the NRTO, aiming to uphold our high-quality standards.

Questions or Comments?

During the upcoming lunch sessions, we'll delve deeper into these topics and provide an opportunity for questions. If you can't attend the lunch sessions but have questions or comments, please don't hesitate to contact us.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Best regards,

The OCD Opleidingen Team
